SEASON TWO

SEASON ONE

Jamie Durie’s Future House

Jamie Durie is back on Nine — with his biggest and most important project yet. Tackling Australia’s housing crisis.

In this groundbreaking series, Jamie brings together the nation’s most daring builders, designers and innovators to take on a bold challenge — to design and build Australia’s house of the future. A house that is sustainable, resilient, cost effective, fast to build and stylish.

This is no experiment - as we follow the real builds of three homes, for three families, in just three months, with three budget levels and three modern methods of construction.

And Jamie’s not just talking about change — he’s living it. You see Jamie, partner Ameka and their two little ones Beau and Nash have opened their lives and their idyllic country property to the cameras as they attempt to build a world-first design; a 3D-printed concrete home that could redefine modern housing.

Its farm life - Durie style. Complete with chickens, sheep, cows, ducks and rolling hills. Interrupted of course by the chaos of building a house from scratch using a method never done before.

The pressure’s on as all the teams face wild weather, red tape, tight deadlines, DA hold ups and budget blowouts — all while trying to revolutionise the way Aussies build and live.

At series end, the Green Building Council of Australia alongside the Federal Minister for Housing, Homelessness and Cities The Hon Clare O’Neil MP will evaluate each property to see which will be Australia’s Future House.

It’s big. It’s bold. It’s building the future.

Jamie Durie’s Future House — coming soon to Nine.
